Bus Service on Tenerife

The bus service on Tenerife is offered by the local bus company, Titsa (www.titsa.com) and is pretty comprehensive although bus schedules prove to be rather trying for foreign visitors. In true Tenerife style the indicated times might differ slightly, but in all it is possible to reach most of the island by bus, or "guagua" in the local language. In the evening and on weekends the service is less regular and at night there are very few busses.

From Hotel Pension La Vista the bus stop is just a 5 minute walk away and a number of busses to all directions stop here. A good alternative to taking the bus is to hire a car. Car hire is relatively cheap on Tenerife (see "Car Hire") and we advise clients who stay more than 5 days to rent a car.

Bono Card

It is possible to obtain a BONO-card which allows for travel by bus at a much reduced rate.
BONO-cards are available from most bus terminals and news agents. We recommend getting a BONO-card upon arrival at the airport terminal.
